As we step into a new year, we pause in gratitude and wonder.
MoonMars Museum — the first museum on the Moon — founded by two women with the Paladin Punks and VAVortex AI Art communities, became reality in 2025 at Mare Crisium on the lunar surface.

Our first lunar exhibition, within a metaverse designed by 0xWolfgang, carries global artistic voices: the first Cryptopunks pair on the Moon, Nest by Mary Kuiper (previously shown on the ISS), Paul van Hoeydonck’s Fallen Astronaut blueprints, alongside 3D, digital, photographic, sculptural, pixel art — and even a children’s book.

In 2026, the journey continues to the lunar South Pole, the Nobile Region. We bring PlanckWall’s animation to the Moon via the LifeShip Pyramid on the Astrolabs FLIP Rover, with partners SPhotonix and PrintOptix, and are also represented aboard Astrobotics’ Griffin-1 lander through our partnership with Bruce Ha’s Permanent Archive Nano Fiche.

MoonMars brings art to the Moon and beoynd!

For the inaugural exhibition curated by the MoonMars Museum, on each human chromosome we created a spot for an artist or community to jointly explore what it means to be human. From the first ever drawing of DNA by Francis and Odile Crick and the Blueprint of the 1st artwork on the moon since 1971 by Paul van Hoeydonck, each artwork is a window to the stars, showcasing the boundless creativity of a diverse group of artists from around the world.

Chromosome 1 features 35 artworks by members of the VAVortex AI Art Community, each representing the DNA of humanity. This collection explores the essence of being human, delving into our shared existence through captivating art. Embark on this creative journey, culminating in an exhibition on the Moon, to uncover the mysteries of our existential DNA and how it expresses what it means to be human.
